A 62-year-old man died of natural causes before crashing his vehicle Sunday night in the Northwest Side Avondale neighborhood, an autopsy found.

Michael Cohen was driving west in the 2400 block of West Diversey at 8:25 p.m. when his vehicle struck several parked cars before coming to a stop, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Cohen, of the 3500 block of Church Street in Evanston, was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:22 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of heart disease, and his death was ruled natural, according to the medical examiner’s office.
