KMOX Radio in St. Louis is reporting the temporary flight restrictions over Ferguson, Missouri, already have been lifted.

Those temporary flight restrictions over Ferguson, however, still appear to be in place through Aug. 18, according to a notice posted to the agency’s website. The notice cites a need “to provide a safe environment for law enforcement activities.”

And FOX 2 in St. Louis confirmed just after 4 p.m., its helicopter has been asked by police and the FAA not to fly over Ferguson.

Bullets were fired at the police helicopter two nights ago, it said.

Earlier Tuesday, Mashable news editor Brian Ries had tweeted the restrictions were a result of a police helicopter coming under fire Sunday.

Updates to come.
