Mariano’s will keep open the 11 pharmacies connected with the 11 Dominick’s store the grocer has purchased.

“I want to assure our customers that there will be uninterrupted access to the pharmacies during the transition period,” said Robert Mariano, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Roundy’s, the parent of Mariano’s, said in a news release.

The Milwaukee-based grocer on Dec. 2 bought 11 stores from Safeway Inc., which will close its Dominick’s stores Dec. 28.
