Follow here as a winter storm continues to pound the Chicago area and northern Illinois through Sunday and temperatures plummet to start the week.

More than 1,200 flights have already been cancelled at O’Hare International Airport — more than 60 at Midway Airport — as snow and wind continue to ramp up.

Amtrak also is operating modified service to and from Chicago.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS: There will be no classes Monday or Tuesday in Chicago Public Schools.
