Asked to compare Jay Cutler and Josh McCown the past few weeks, Bears players have resorted to an old joke: they’re the same, except for the backup’s Texan drawl.
Bears tight end Martellus Bennett took it one step further Thursday when asked what McCown’s voice sounded like in the huddle.
“It’s a combination of Jesus and Ben Stiller,” he said.
Wait, Jesus? What does he sound like?
“We’ve all heard Jesus,” the loquatious tight end said. “But some of us aren’t listening.”
McCown, predictably, laughed at the comparison.
“I’m trying to process Ben Stiller and Jesus,” he said. “I just want to be there to listen to them two talk — because I think that would be cool.”
