Santa will be pumped and ready to roll on the wildly-festooned CTA Holiday Train starting Friday, Nov. 29, when he begins his annual Chicago L trek at 3:07 p.m. from the Midway Orange Line station.

By 3:30 p.m. Friday, Santa will hit the Green Line station at Roosevelt and continue on the Green Line to Cottage Grove by around 5:30 p.m., the CTA estimates.

Santa watchers can track Santa’s exact other whereabouts on the CTA Holiday Train through Dec. 23 on the CTA’s website.

In addition, the CTA Train Tracker will feature a candy cane next to the Holiday Train’s estimated arrival time.

Santa will be traveling on his sleigh, reindeer at the ready, in an open flat car perched in the middle of specially-decorated CTA holiday train cars.

Just riding in a Holiday Train car is a treat in itself, as they are decorated with colored lights, bows and garlands and feature holiday music. Enjoy and be merry.
