Bank robbed in Clearing

A man robbed a Fifth Third Bank branch Tuesday evening in the Clearing neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The branch at 5241 W. 63rd St. was robbed about 5 p.m., according to FBI Special Agent Garrett Croon.

The suspect did not show a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery, the FBI said.

He was described as a black male, standing between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 with a medium build, Croon said. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.
