A car fire early Monday shut down lanes on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

State troopers responded to the fire about 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes on the expressway near 28th Street, according to Illinois State Police.

No injuries were reported in the fire, state police said.

Lanes were reopened shortly after 2 a.m., police said.
