Democrat Hillary Clinton will win Illinois, the District of Columbia and five other states, while Donald Trump will win three states, CNN is projecting.

Based on exit polls, the cable network is projecting Clinton will win Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island and the District of Columbia. Trump is projected to take Oklahoma, Mississippi and Tennessee.
