Two inmates held at the Cook County Jail were charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer for separate incidents in June, authorities said Friday.

On June 20, Latayuss Curry, 22, threw a milk carton containing a mixture of excrement and urine onto two officers who were handing him his meal in maximum security, according to a statement from the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Curry was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, the sheriff’s office said. He was held at the jail since March 2015 on charges of home invasion, aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm and kidnapping.

In a second incident June 29, two correctional deputies were escorting Mark Hall, 20, to the dispensary when he dropped his entire body weight onto the officers, the sheriff’s office said. He also kicked one of them in the leg and threatened to kill him.

Hall was charged with aggravated battery, the sheriff’s office said. Since he was held at the jail in July 2014, Hall has been charged with aggravated battery 12 times for separate incidents.
