Girls Scouts of America and General Mills are getting together in a way that might make it OK to have cookies for breakfast.

At least sort of. Two cereals are planned for early next year based on Girls Scouts’ Thin Mints and Somoas cookies.

General Mills isn’t saying much about the new cereals but confirmed the plan Monday on Twitter.

The cereals will be called Thin Mints and Caramel Crunch. The Girl Scouts Cookie cereals will be available nationwide in January. “We will provide additional information when we are closer to the launch,” company spokesman Mike Siemienas said in an email.

In June, Pillsbury launched Girl Scouts Thin Mints and Caramel & Coconut Flavored Baking Mixes.

Girls Scouts also has done licensing deals with Dreyers for its Tagalong ice cream and Nesquik for its Thin Mints milk, noted.
