A dense fog that rolled into the region overnight will reduce visibility during Wednesday’s morning commute.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for parts of Cook and Lake counties in Illinois, as well as Lake County, Indana, according to the National Weather Service.

Visibility will frequently be reduced to less than a quarter mile, the weather service said. Drivers are encouraged to use their headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of them.
