No injuries were reported in a blaze Tuesday morning at the Old Main Post Office in the Loop.

The extra-alarm blaze was reported about 10:15 a.m. on multiple floors of the vacant building at 433 W. Harrison, according to the Chicago Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

No traffic was being allowed on I-290 east of the interchange because of reports of glass falling on the pavement, according to Illinois State Police.

The Fire Department announced at 11:35 a.m. that the fire had been extinguished.

The city announced in July that a deal had been approved to begin a five-year, $500 million renovation on the building, which had sat vacant since 1995.
