A person was found dead Tuesday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The female was discovered unresponsive at 6:02 a.m. in the 10000 block of South LaSalle, according to Chicago Police.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Her identity was unknown as of Wednesday afternoon, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy did not rule on her cause and manner of death pending further studies.

Area South detectives are conducting a death investigation.
