Bond was set at $75,000 for a man charged in connection with a crash that left 10 people injured in the South Shore neighborhood Thursday night.

Jamayel Tillman, 31, faces three felony counts of fleeing police, along with misdemeanor counts of driving with a suspended license and no insurance, according to Chicago Police.

Police started to pursue Tillman around 10:15 p.m. after he committed a traffic violation in the 9100 block of South King Drive, police said. He then led police to the intersection of 75th and Jeffrey, where he blew a red light and hit another vehicle, police said.

Ten people were injured in all, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Six people were listed in fair-to-serious condition and four more were in good condition, fire officials said. Four others declined medical attention.

Those injured were taken to South Shore Hospital, Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center and the University of Chicago Medical Center, fire officials said.

Tillman, of the 7900 block of South Peoria, was also cited for disobeying a stop light and for failure to stay in his lane.

A judge ordered him held on a $75,000 Friday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. Tillman is next scheduled to appear in court March 18.
