A 20-year-old motorcyclist, Justin Retherford-Speer of Oswego, was killed in a crash in west suburban Batavia Thursday.

The Batavia Fire Department was called to the intersection of Randall Road and Main Street about 8:20 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, according to a statement from the Batavia Fire Department.

Retherford-Speer was taken to Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva where he was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., according to the Kane County coroner’s office and fire department. An autopsy Monday indicated that he died from multiple blunt force injuries from a crash, and his death was ruled an accident.

Two people in the other vehicle were not injured.

Batavia police were still investigating the crash late Thursday.
