Foster Avenue near Northeastern Illinois University will close Monday in the North Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side for sewer work.

West Foster will be closed in both directions near the Drake Avenue intersection, according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation. The closure is expected to last through Wednesday.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on North Pulaski, east on Lawrence and north on Kimball, CDOT said. Westbound traffic will be detoured north on Kimball to westbound Bryn Mawr and then south on Pulaski to Foster.
