A man was shot in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side Friday night.

The 27-year-old was in the back seat of a vehicle in the 6200 block of West Bloomingdale about 8:35 p.m. when a male on foot shot him in the right arm, police said.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
