A hazardous materials situation in the Loop that rerouted CTA trains has been secured, according to Fire Media Affairs.

A construction crew hit a gas line underneath the street near Wabash and Madison about 11:15 a.m., according to Fire Media. No injuries were reported.

The scene was secured about noon, according to Fire Media.

Pink, Green, Brown, Orange and Purple line trains were halted for about an hour at the Adams/Wabash station as a precaution against sparks, and several trains were rerouted.

CTA trains resumed normal operations at 12:15 p.m., according to the transit agency.
