A Bogan High School student was struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in front of the Ashburn neighborhood school on the Southwest Side, according to a Chicago Fire Department statement.
Authorities responded at 3:48 p.m. to a call that a student was hit by a vehicle outside of the school at 3939 W. 79th St., according to Fire Department Deputy District Chief Jeff Lyle. It was unclear if the crash happened on West 79th or on Pulaski Road.
The female student, whose age was not known, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, Lyle said.
