A south suburban man Homewood man is $75,000 richer after playing an Illinois Lottery “Ultimate Crossword” ticket.

Kehinde Salami, 51, bought the ticket at Lambert Mobil, 1529 N. Broadway St. in Joliet, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery. He said he plants to put his winnings in the bank.

The retailer received a bonus of $750, of 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
