I-88 ramp to I-355 closed this weekend in Downers Grove

A ramp connecting the Reagan Memorial Tollway to the Veterans Memorial Tollway in west suburban Downers Grove will be closed for bridge work this weekend.

Starting at 10 p.m. Friday, the ramp carrying traffic from westbound I-88 to northbound I-355 will be closed to facilitate bridge joint replacement, according to the Illinois Tollway. The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. The closure will allow crews to finish repairs that were started during a similar closure last month.

During the closure, a posted detour will redirect westbound I-88 traffic to southbound I-355, then to exit at Ogden and access the northbound I-355 entrance ramp there, the tollway said. There will be no additional toll associated with the detour.
