A 26-year-old inmate hanged himself Tuesday night at Cook County Jail, an autopsy has found.
Devin Lynch, 26, was pronounced dead at the jail in the 2700 block of South California at 10:07 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy Monday found Lynch died of asphyxia by hanging and ruled his death a suicide.
Lynch, who lived in the 1100 block of West Lunt Avenue, was booked into the jail on Feb. 6 for aggravated criminal sexual assault in Chicago, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. Police said the incident was domestic-related.
He was being held on a $150,000 bond.
