Man, 18, shot in Austin

An 18-year-old man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 10 p.m. found the man on the ground in the 5500 block of West Potomac with a gunshot wound to his groin, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized,  police said.
