A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Friday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Cercy Robinson was walking through a vacant lot just after 6 p.m. in the 4500 block of West Jackson when shots were fired, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Robinson, who lived about four blocks away, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died at 7:44 p.m., authorities said.
