A man was wounded Wednesday night in a West Englewood neighborhood shooting on the South Side.

The 20-year-old was shot in his abdomen at 8:14 p.m. in the 6500 block of South Ashland, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
