A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood.

At 1:39 p.m., the 22-year-old was in the 700 block of South Western Avenue when two males got out of a vehicle and fired shots, striking him in the chest, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
