Man, 23, shot in South Shore

A man was shot Friday night in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 23-year-old was standing on a front porch about 11:05 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Ridgeland when another male approached and fired shots, Chicago Police said.

He took himself to Jackson Park Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to his head, police said.
