A man realized he was shot Sunday morning while taking a shower at his home in the Bucktown neighborhood on the North Side.

The 25-year-old was showering about 4:30 a.m. at this home in the 2200 block of West Fullerton when he realized he was shot in the chest, Chicago Police said.

Earlier in the evening, the man was drinking and lost consciousness, police said. He woke up in the area near Hoyne Avenue and Charleston Street and went home to change and shower, only later discovering the wound.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, police said.
