A man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The 25-year-old was walking on the sidewalk about 1:45 p.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain in the 5100 block of South Lowe, Chicago Police said.

He took himself to St. Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left hand, police said. He was listed in good condition.
