A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 27-year-old was shot at 2:24 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Maypole, Chicago Police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Additional information about the shooting was not immediately available from police.
