A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times Saturday evening in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

About 6:25 p.m., the man was riding in a vehicle in the 200 block of East 51st Street when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the leg and pelvic area, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Provident Hospital in “stable” condition and will be transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said.
