A man was shot Saturday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 35-year-old was standing in front of a home at 7:06 p.m. in the 300 block of North Central when someone in a light-colored sedan fired at him as it drove by, Chicago Police said.

He was struck in his head, and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
