A 50-year-old man was shot in West Englewood Tuesday night.

The man was in front of a residence in the 6400 block of South Wolcott about 7:45 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to his arm, police said. His condition had stabilized.
