A man and woman were injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in the northwest suburbs.

The 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading east in the 16600 block of Garden Valley Road in unincorporated Woodstock when it entered a curve, left the road to the right and went into a ditch, according to the McHenry County sheriff’s office. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the driver and passenger.

The driver, 56-year-old Terrance M. Gospodarek, was flown to Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, where his condition stabilized, according to the sheriff’s office.

His passenger, a 47-year-old woman, was flown to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in serious condition.

Neither were wearing helmets, according to the sheriff’s office.

Gospodarek, of Elgin, was charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the sheriff’s office. Additional charges are pending.
