A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood Wednesday evening.

The 38-year-old was standing outside in the 6600 block of South Damen about 5:30 p.m. when he heard gunfire and ran inside a nearby business, where he realized he was shot in the shoulder, police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.

Fans said they liked the new amenities and features in the $4.7 billion stadium proposal unveiled Wednesday, although some worried the south lakefront could become even more congested than it is now.
The traditional TV broadcasts will be heavy on the Bears, who own the first and ninth picks of the first round. They’ll be on the clock at 7 p.m.
