A 53-year-old man died after he was struck by an SUV Friday in north suburban Glenview.

At 6:49 a.m., officers responded to a person struck by a vehicle on Milwaukee Avenue south of Gregory Drive, according to Glenview police.

Marcos Arroyo was walking west and crossing the southbound lanes in the 3500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when he was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet HHR, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. No one else was injured.

The driver was not cited, police said.

Arroyo was taken to Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview where he was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 3600 block of Salem Walk in Northbrook.

An autopsy was expected Saturday.
