A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday evening in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 20-year-old was outside at 7:04 p.m. in the 400 block of East 79th when two cars drove by and someone inside one of them fired at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the arm, leg, abdomen and buttocks and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. His condition was stabilized.
