A man was wounded in a shooting Monday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 42-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk at 10:17 p.m. in the 3000 block of West 62nd when someone walked up and fired shots at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
