A Mundelein man died Thursday afternoon after a motorcycle crash in northwest suburban Itasca.

About 3:50 p.m., Abdullah Ilahi, 24, was driving one of two motorcycles headed eastbound on Thorndale Avenue near Park Boulevard in Itasca, according to Itasca police Sgt. Tom Poulakidas and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

His motorcycle hit a landscaping truck headed northbound on Park Boulevard, Poulakidas said.

Ilahi, who lived in the 21800 block of Bay Hill Court in Mundelein, was pronounced dead at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village at 4:30 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy Friday found he died from multiple injuries suffered when a motorcycle collided with a truck.

Itasca police are investigating the crash. No charges or citations have been filed.
