A Fifth Third Bank branch in the Loop was robbed Friday afternoon.

A man in his 40s walked into the bank at 1 S. Dearborn at 4:08 p.m. and passed the teller a note demanding money, according to the FBI and Chicago Police.

The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the bank, walking eastbound, authorities said.

He was described as a black man between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-3, wearing a gray flat-bill hat, gray sweatshirt, blue vest, dark pants and glasses, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

It was a non-takeover robbery and no injuries were reported, Croon said.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
