A 26-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded Tuesday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The shooting happened at 11:02 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Adams, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left side of the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

A 34-year-old man was found on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East 111th Street at about 10 p.m., police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
