A man was seriously wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The 20-year-old victim was standing outside in the 8200 block of South Evans about 8:50 a.m. when he was shot in the upper left thigh, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
