A man was shot Friday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

At 8:32 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot and found a 33-year-old man on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of South Harding, according to Chicago Police. The man was in a confrontation with another person who pulled out a gun and shot him.

He was shot in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The 59-year-old was found about 7 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police said.
Jonathan Vallejo, 38, of River Grove, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the Friday shooting and was pronounced dead at Lutheran General Hospital, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
