A man was shot and critically wounded early Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 32-year-old was walking about 2:40 a.m. in the 700 block of South California when shots rang out and he was struck multiple times, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the back, chest, leg and abdomen and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
