A man was left in critical condition after he was shot in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side Friday night.

About 9:45 p.m., the 41-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of South Washtenaw when a male in a black van shot him in the left arm and right buttock, according to police.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
