Police are questioning a person of interest after a man was shot to death Sunday morning in the South Loop.

The 45-year-old was discovered in an alley with a gunshot wound to the head in the 1800 block of South Michigan Avenue at 10:05 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office had not released his name as of Monday afternoon.

A witness said they heard an argument and then a single shot fired, police said.

Police are questioning a person of interest.
