A man was critically wounded in an East Garfield Park neighborhood shooting Thursday night on the West Side.
About 8:30 p.m., the 26-year-old was driving in the 3600 block of West Lexington when he heard shots and realized he’d been struck in the back, according to Chicago Police.
He then crashed into a parked car but was able to keep driving to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
The man has documented gang ties, police said.
