A man was shot while running away from two people who tried to rob him early Monday in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood.

About 1 a.m., the 28-year-old was outside in the 400 block of East 74th Street when two males walked up, flashed a gun and demanded his things, according to Chicago Police.

The man ran away, then heard gunshots and realized he’d been hit in the buttocks, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
