A man was shot early Friday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

At 2:23 a.m., the 23-year-old was shot in the buttocks during an attempted robbery in the 11200 block of South Wentworth, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
